Tour description

Wonderful ascent in the grandiose mountain landscape with great descents, as well as a somewhat airy, but short climb (I-II) on the northeast ridge to the summit. A magnificent all-round view awaits us at the summit. Since the ascent is not too long, the Stubacher Sonnblick and the Hohe Fürleg can of course also be taken, then it will be a day-filling company with many changing impressions.

Program

Meeting point and welcome at 8.45 a.m. at the valley station of the Weißsee Enzinger Boden glacier cable car. 

After the last check of the safety equipment or the addition of the rental equipment, we take the cable car up to our starting point, the Rudolfshütte, which is at 2315 m. A magnificent view awaits you here.

However, skinning is only done after a short ski descent to Weißsee. From here we start our ski tour to the 3086m high Granatspitze. Via the Sonnblickgletscher we reach the rocky summit structure of the Granatspitze. After the ski depot, we will cover the last few meters by climbing.   + 900 Hm   - 1750 Hm  

Basically, we do not need any accommodation for this tour. However, it is possible to book a night in the hut with hotel character either before the tour or after the tour. Personally, I can only give my recommendation for the hut.

Theoretically and practically, you could possibly do a second tour the next day. You will certainly not fail because of the tour options in the immediate vicinity of the hut.
